Bethany's Poem

This beautiful poem was written by a young lady who placed her baby with a loving family a few years ago. I hope you enjoy it

Bethany's Poem

Bethany was born, Jesus was there.
She was made beautiful by God's amazing hands.
We love her so, but she had to go, to a place far from us all.
She is there today, to stay, to live, with her loving parents
James and Leigh Ann.

Oh how they love her so,
We also do but God said to let her go,
and do as He says to do.
So we did though it was hard,
But she is there, and Jesus is there, in a place she is safe.

We'll see her soon some day at least.
Bethany Marietta, live life to the full,
With parents and Jesus to love always.
Thank you Lord for adoption.

Lord thank you for your love,
The love that You give in a time of need.
The love that You give when life is hard for us all.
The love that You give when we need it the most.

Why Do Women Choose Adoption?

Recently, I was asked why women choose adoption. I thought it might be good to share my answer here, so that you can know you are not alone in what you are thinking and feeling...

Most women choose adoption because they love their child and realize that they are not ready to be the kind of parent they need to be at this time in their life. Others realize that there are unique reasons in their life that are preventing then from being able to parent their child.

At our center, we realize that choosing adoption for a child can be a very difficult decision. We want to help you make the right decision and help them explore parenting and adoption, letting them determine what is right for their child. It takes courage and strength to be able to make this important decision.

The Reality of Date Rape Drugs

Each month more than ten women of all ages and backgrounds contact our Adoption Center with the same experience; they have been victims of a date rape drug and are now pregnant. Most of the time, they do not know who is the biological father. For example, just after spring or winter break is a time when we see a peak in pregnancy. For many of these women a date rape drug was involved.

The U.S. Census suggests that annually, there may be over thirty-two thousand victims of rape-related pregnancies among American women over the age of 18. The adult pregnancy rate associated with rape is estimated to be 4.7%.

Several college-aged women have reported waking up in frat houses or apartments with no clothing on; finding themselves in strange surroundings with unknown people, or having actually been sexually assaulted while under the influence of a date rape drug.
